United American Corporation announces the world’s first fully integrated dual-mode wireless Voice over IP and cellular phone service, téliPhone iPCS™

Montreal, Canada, December 6, 2004. United American Corporation (NASD otcbb: UAMA) is pleased to announce that it's wholly owned subsidiary TéliPhone Inc. has launched its dual-mode service that combines the power of its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform with the total flexibility of a cellular (GSM) phone. Taking advantage of Téliphone Inc.'s Single Point of Contact FollowMe™ system, permitting subscribers to have one phone number and be reached on multiple land based, cellular or internet phone numbers, subscribers can alternate seamlessly between in the wireless VoIP and Cellular worlds. Téliphone Inc. has successfully migrated its real-time call records and billing platform such that subscribers can track their internet calls against their cellular calls within their téliphone web interface. The service has been fully operational since October 2004 and will be launched officially on December 20, 2004 .

About the téliphone iPCS™ service
The téliphone iPCS ™ (for internet-Personal Communication Service) is provided to subscribers in two formats- the single and dual device. In the single device format, users have a Personal Desktop Assistant (PDA) device which acts as both wireless VoIP device and Cellular phone. When in a Wireless-Fidelity (wi-fi) environment, the subscriber answers the call over VoIP, whereas when outside of Wi-Fi, the call reaches the subscriber over the GSM network. In the dual device format, subscribers are issued a téliphone VoIP device (wireless or land-based) along with either a GSM SIM card for insertion into their existing GSM phone or within a new GSM phone. Regardless of single or dual device format, the subscriber is able to take advantage of low-cost VoIP calling without giving up the total worldwide personal mobility of the GSM network.

Subscribers can have this total flexibility from Téliphone Inc. by adding the GSM cellular service to their existing VoIP service . Examples of the different service offerings are as follows:

VoIP service of $29.90/mth unlimited incoming and outgoing US & Canada plus:

  • téliPhone iPCS -$9.95/mth, $0.20/minute in GSM mode
  • téliPhone iPCS 250 -$29.95/mth for 250 anytime minutes in GSM mode, additional minutes at $0.15/minute
  • téliPhone iPCS 500 -$49.95/mth for 500 anytime minutes in GSM mode, additional minutes at $0.15/minute
  • téliPhone iPCS 1000 -$89.95/mth for 1000 anytime minutes in GSM mode, additional minutes at $0.15/minute

Monthly iPCS fee includes system access fee and 911 charges.

GSM services include: CallerID, Call Waiting, Call Conferencing, Text Messaging and GPRS Data Services available for an additional cost.
